Japanese artist based in Milan

Fashion Illustration · Live Art · Japanese Calligraphy · Bespoke Art

Haruna’s practice began with fashion drawings at around five, inspired by her grandmother, and ten years of calligraphy study from the age of six. A graduate of Bunka Fashion College, she received several awards for fashion illustration and has worked as a designer for fifteen years.

Raised amid music and fashion, she also explores tea ceremony and kimono dressing, inspired by her mother. Now based in Milan, she has resumed her artistic practice and looks forward to working across fashion, weddings and live events, capturing the character of people and the atmosphere of spaces.

Haruna

Haruna, Japanese artist based in Milan

Raised surrounded by music and fashion, Haruna brings a designer’s eye and a calligrapher’s sensitivity to her work. Her early drawing and brush studies led to Bunka Fashion College, recognition in fashion illustration and fifteen years in design.

Her mother has also inspired a growing interest in tea ceremony and kimono dressing. Since moving to Milan, she has returned to her artistic practice, connecting Japanese traditions with fashion and the people and spaces around her.
